Totem Pole Raising at Donovan & Company – November 2003
Donovan & Company was honoured to host a totem pole raising and blessing in November 2003. Representatives from various First Nations communities, including chiefs, elders and performers honoured Donovan & Company by attending the totem pole raising and blessing.
Charles Joseph, a residential school survivor, carved the totem pole. The totem pole represents a mother embracing her son after her son has returned home from residential school. This very distinct and unique totem pole proudly stands in the office of Donovan & Company and welcomes all of our visitors.
