Profile

Laurie Bonacci began working at Donovan & Company in 2003. Laurie is the legal assistant for Allan Donovan and Jennifer Griffith.

Laurie is Haida and grew up on Haida Gwaii. In 1991 Laurie was custom adopted by her great uncle John Williams, Chief Git'kun, into the Eagle clan. She was also given her Haida name, K'amga (the fair one), a name she is proud to share with her late nuni, Margaret Williams.

Growing up on Haida Gwaii was a very rewarding experience that Laurie enjoyed both educationally and culturally. Despite numerous obstacles, Laurie graduated from high school with honours winning numerous awards and bursaries.

Laurie moved from Haida Gwaii to the Lower Mainland in 1993 to go to college. In 1996 Laurie attended Sprott-Shaw College and graduated with honours from the Legal Administration program. Since graduation Laurie has worked as a legal assistant in intellectual property law, corporate real estate and aboriginal law.
