Devrin joined Donovan & Company in 2018. He holds a Master of Law degree from the University of Cambridge, a Juris Doctorate from the University of Saskatchewan, and a Master of Arts degree from Simon Fraser University.  Devrin was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2008.

Devrin’s practice focuses on two main areas: economic development in Indigenous communities and specific claims work. Devrin has extensive experience designing and implementing various types of business structures using limited partnerships, joint ventures, corporations, societies and trusts. He advises clients on a wide range of corporate and commercial issues including commercial leasing, shareholder arrangements, governance issues, housing policy issues and other commercial arrangements.  Devrin has significant historical knowledge relating to Indigenous claims in British Columbia and uses this knowledge to help clients successfully navigate the specific claims process.

Outside of work, Devrin lives to explore the world with his family. He is always after the next unique adventure. Although he loves travelling abroad, he is equally excited to explore the diversity of British Columbia and the ruggedness of its territory. He enjoys hockey, golf, tennis, running, hiking, canoeing, kayaking and camping as well as sampling Vancouver’s gastronomic delights.

Devrin sits on the Board of Variance for the city of Port Moody and serves on the Board of Directors of CERA, a restorative justice organization.
